I didn’t decide one morning to create a website dedicated to photographs of my home town of Ballito, on the KwaZulu Natal coast, South Africa.

No, nothing that grand.

This little project started with a different intent, and that was to simply be a test website. A place to try out plugins and web processes.

I’d been taking photographs of the sunrises that week. Each was so different and really stunning.

May and June are the best months to be at Ballito.

The days are gorgeous, calm mostly, the humidity over, the sun and the ocean still warm.

So that’s how this little website started.
